  • August Updates And New Short Courses Info At Focus Bible College.

To all students, faculty and friends of FBC,

I hope your summer is going well, and that you are enjoying the benefits of sunshine, family and relaxation.
We here at FBC are moving forward and striving to implement our vision for the bible college. Organizing our new short courses series, and laying the foundation for better opportunities for our students, as we are updating courses, considering locations for onsite teaching through a church network in Orlando, and expanding our PhD program which is in its infancy as a considered area of study.

Bishop Boer has advised me that our current location in Orlando will be changing, but this should not affect the work we are doing in any way. Pray as we are trying to get all the paperwork together as it has to be notarized by various parties. Our yearly renewal of certification with the State of Florida is presently at hand, so all our paperwork with our new location has to be all in order before we send it to the state.  That being case, it is important that we can get all this work done in a timely manner.

Notice to all students currently studying with us in the Short Courses series. The lesson 7 audio will be available tomorrow, and Prep Questions for the next lesson online in short order. Our mid term test will be posted by Monday for all students studying for college credit. You may receive 2 credits with this course of study.

Also, I am bringing on board from our ministry at Covenant of Grace one of our bible teachers to help with some of the work at the college. He will be assisting with replying to some email correspondence and handling phone calls three days a week between 10-3 pm. My schedule has been so busy, that I believe that this will help us to keep things better on track. Work on the FBC Forum as well other opportunities for better communication will evolve during this time.

God bless you all. I appreciate your support in prayer and finances with FBC. It is an honor to serve you in whatever capacity I may.

    In His Grace,
    Dr. Patrick Vossen
    President, FBC

  • New Study in the Book of Ecclesiastes and a Summary on Job.

We are now studying the book of Ecclesiastes on the Prayerline, that is linked with our current adult studies in our CGMF Bible Immersion Groups. I am truly excited about what this book is going to bring to our attention. I also asked bible teacher David Rose to write a summation of the book of Job. He has done a nice job catching the spirit of it. It is now posted on the CGMF blog, and I will give you that link in this short post. God bless you all, and I cherish your prayers, your kindness and grace always.

    The JOB Essay.

  • CGMF's Prayerline Ministry Has Been Started Up Again.

After being challenged by many of the Shepherd Leaders of CGMF. I have started up our daily Prayerline message service again. There will be about a ten minute message each day, and some information about the ministry as well. Now this is NOT a perfect science and I will miss some days because of scheduling, but I will work toward keeping up with it. Maybe even asking for some volunteers and friends of the ministry to assist me with it. God bless you all in a special way today. The message today is entitled, ” God Responds To Job “.  It is one of the series of lessons I have been teaching from in my study group. You can listen in by calling the CGMF Prayerline at 712-432-8399 ( you will have to enter the conference id of 584684 to listen in ).

  • A Walk Through The Wilderness And More. Lesson 6

Our Lesson 6 Audio Message is ready from our series on Moses at FBC. It's on Authority: Coming Into Submission, and the lesson explores specifically the transition Moses made from field leader to field general. The lesson is about thirty minutes long. If you are a student of the course I know you will get a lot out of this lesson. If your a minister and or leader in the church, it also would be of inspiration to you. The lesson is available to all.
